Day at the beach - 06-NOV-2014

Lily got up at 4:30am again this morning as she was hungry and looking for her Mum.  Laura duly got up with her and after a bowl of cereal and three hours watching TVS they both came in to wake me up.

We lazed a bit longer and at about 9:30am once we were all organised we headed off to The Odd Spot for breakfast.

Corn fritters and bacon for me:

Poached eggs and toast for Laura:

and some millionaires cake and a banana milk shake for Lily.

Had a leisurely breakfast and then scooted back to Debbie and Ali's.

Decided to go to the beach today as oppose to swimming (which we're now planning to do tomorrow).

Ali was going to the races today and we caught up briefly before he headed off:

which gave us just enough time for a quick photoshoot before he set off.

After Ali left we got organised with our picnic and headed to the beach at Williamstown:

It was a little breezy (but not cold) and we all enjoyed running about and Lily liked dipping her toes in the water.

Lily had her picnic sandwich and once we were dry and de-sanded we headed across to the park.

The park was a bit busy with kids from the local school (the majority of whom appeared to be having a sports class while the rest were playing in the kids park); it was quite busy but the kids weren't too boisterous and Lily was able to have a go on everything she wanted.

Afterwards we headed back to the car and took a drive to Altona to let Lily have a snooze.  This worked and she slept for about 30 minutes while we drove.

When we got back to Debbie's Lily awoke again and she and I watched a little TV before sitting in the garden whilst the cleaner was in.

More TV followed (I also had a couple of beers) and then we got changed and waited on Debbie coming back from work before heading out for fish and chips at the seafront:

Lily enjoyed her fishy bites & chips and had a great time chasing the seagulls.  Once we'd finished we scooted and walked to the park for a go on the chute and swings before heading back home for the night.
