This time we're flying from Glasgow to Dubai, Dubai to Singapore, then Singapore to Melbourne.
As its Halloween Lily has decided she should dress up for the occasion and I have to say it's a great idea as she's been really excited since I got home and this simply makes it a bit more special for her; which in reality is what it's all about.
Got to Glasgow Airport and Jack helped us in with the bags and waited till we had checked in before heading home while we went through security, which was really effortless as the airport is fairly quiet at night.
As I don't really like airline food we decided that we'd have dinner before setting off so headed to Frankie and Bennys for a quick bite to eat. The food was quite good and we even met Dr Suses Aunt and Uncle who were off on their holidays as well.
The flight from Glasgow to Dubai went without a hitch; Lily got the window seat and I got the aisle, while Laura was stuck in the middle. Lily slept for quite a bit of the flight and while she was awake watched the start of Sleeping Beauty.
We arrived in Dubai and had an hour before our flight to Singapore. This seems a fair bit of time but Dubai International Airport is huge and in reality we only had time to get from one terminal to the other.
When we arrived at the terminal the Singapore flight was getting ready to board.
The next leg also quite uneventful Lily watched Sleeping Beauty again and I snoozed while Laura watched movies and moaned about having a middle seat.
We arrived in Singapore and had to disembark for refuelling.
Only a half hour layover before reboarding and this allowed Laura and Lily enough time to freshen up and for Lily to take off her Elsa costume.
This time when we boarded Laura and swapped seats so that I could sit beside Lily for a bit.
Again the flight was on time and realtively uneventful. Lily watched Sleeping Beauty again while Laura watched more movies and also slept a bit.
As a treat for being such a good girl Lily had been having cola while we were flying but this time managed to spill it all over herself and her seat; quick change and mop up of the seat and everything was back in order.
We arrived in Melbourne all quite tired and a bit grumpy but not too out of sorts. Lily got the see the Sniffer Puppy doing its work and that perked her up a load.
The bags took a bit of time to arrive but we got them all and then headed out to see Debbie who had come to pick us up.
Great to see her after so long; Lily was really excited and although the airport was a little busy for her to run and jump in to her arms she gave it her best shot.
Off Debbie and Ali's...
